Judith Mountain Cabin
This picture is of the Judith Mountain Cabin. It was an AIA Merit Award Winner. I came across a picture of it in the Wall Street Journal a while back and was able to track down some background on it. The Wall Street Journal occasionally has some nice pictures of interesting mansions and other structures like the Judith Mountain Cabin.
This structure is actually in Montana and is basically an Old Fire Tower that has Photovoltaic Panels (you may notice them on the roof of the building). It also has an outdoor tub and a few other amenities. For more details or if you’re interested in getting one of your own, you can purchase the house plan at:
This building sort of reminds me of an old school lookout tower, and I LOVE balconies. This picture allows my mind to roam a bit and play-out various scenarios of what it would be like to live in a cute building like that.
