This cool picture is of the Biltmore Estate. It was built in the mountains of Asheville, North Carolina, USA as an escape from everyday life for the Vanderbilt Family. The mansion was built by George Washington Vanderbilt II between the years 1889 and 1895.
It has beautiful landscaping along with a large expanse of land. The mansion definitely has a cool room in the mountains. The mansion shown in the picture has 4 acres of floor space and a total of 250 rooms in the house. This includes 33 bedrooms for family and guests, 43 bathrooms, 65 fireplaces, and 3 kitchens.
The mansion also has 19th-century novelties such as electric elevators, forced-air heating, centrally controlled clocks, fire alarms, and an intercom system.
It’s definitely a sight to see! The Biltmore Estate is about a 4-hour drive from Raleigh, North Carolina and maybe a 2-and-a-half-hour drive from Charlotte, North Carolina.
